Based in Dunoon Argyll, I have been maintaining bowling greens for over 20 years, then in 2003 i setup Derek Logue Groundcare.we look after 10 greens in the Argyll area (Bogleha, Upper Cowal ,Rothesay etc) and a 9 hole golf course at Strone, the bowling greens are mainly cut by a employee of the club with us doing the rest of the work
In 2005 i purchased a vertidrain which has let me take on end of season works in other areas of Scotland from Fort William to Lockerbie
We have vertidrained the greens at Ayr Northfield for South Ayrshire Council for the last 2 years and they are very pleased with the results
Last year we had end of season renovations in. Dumfrieshire,Wigtonshire,Larbert,Fort William,Millport,Blair Atholl and
Greenock and are willing to travel to most areas of Scotland
This year we have purchased the new Toro Pro Core 648 aerator,
In September 2009 we have started a green maintenance contract at DARVEL Bowling Club, one of the largest membership clubs in Ayrshire
March 2010 we have started programs of work at Bellfield Kilmarnock
With the had frost and cold start to the season alot of greens are suffering from poor growth and grass die back over the greens, i have purchased the new Dennis overseeder which i will be using for overseeding greens in September
July 2010 work now being done on Irvine Winton and Galston LWM
Ocotober 2010 just finish end of season works at Eaglesfield,Eastriggs and Gretna B.C in Dumfrieshire also Newton Stewart,Castle Douglas, Port William and Sandhead B.C.in wigtownshire
June 2011 taken delivery of the tru turf greens roller which was then hired out to Ayr Northfield for the Scottish championships
October 2011 Just complete end of season works on 8 greens in Wigtownshire
Jan 12 Just lifted and levelled egdes of greens in Glenluce and Victoria Greenock
